The type N coaxial connector remains a popular choice for microwave applications. This standard size connector is designed for use in all systems where very good RF performance is critical, whether in low or high frequency applications. Its sturdy screw-on coupling mechanism also provides secure and reliable connections.
N connectors are available with 50 or 75 ohm impedance. The useful frequency range for LTI’s N connectors is up to 11 GHz, depending on the connector and cable type. Due to a difference in inner conductor diameter, 75 and 50 ohm parts should not be mated together.
